getting the whole picture
It is a not unwelcome development in AE 7.0 that (as I understand it) motion image may be processed in 32-bit.
PHOTOSHOP offers 32 bit, but doesn’t really let you do anything very useful with it. AE one-up the venerable PHOTOSHOP with a superabundance of processing options, and even mre if you invest in third-party aps like the Boris family of products.
The huge advantage of 32-bit is the asignment of subtler gradation for images with over-exposure or high contrast. 32-bit is practically a prerequisite for restoration.
I’d like to see demonstrated how a 32-bit motion image in AE can treat critical areas of limited detail, yet detail that is there and can be rooted out and optimized.
