You’ve seen soap opera’s…What do they use to give the dark atmosphere?
    Also:
Whats your choice for giving it that movie theatre look?
Or how about that DVD look?
I’ve played around with FX but still cant find the right choice?
Can I get some advice from the pro’s?
    Thanks guys.

Tried many…Vegas is the hands down best.

    Hmmmm,
Soap operas-large budgets, lots of proper lighting with a lighting designer and set designer..not quite sure what you mean by “movie theater or DVD look”

Perhaps you could be a bit more specific about the look you are trying to achieve so we can try to help you out.

Well I dont claim to know alot about studio work…lighting etc. I like to edit stuff like paintball fights and make little movies out of them. I just want to give it a professional look to impress my friends. I know there are different FX like lenient etc. I just dont know which I should choose…theres SO MANY haha. Thanks again for the help!

Well please do not misundertand this but to say “professional look” is like saying “which camera is best””. Best for what? Professional look can be many different things to different people. Proper lighting, proper exposure, proper framing are what make footage look professional not special effects.
Now having said that I will assume you want something that perhaps POPS a bit more than what you are seeing now so you might try punching up the color a little-you can use HSL or Color Correction or secondary color correction-bring up the levels a touch to enhance the exposure if you want to and after that its all very subjective as to the kind of look you’re going for.
