getting rid of the white box from illustrator
please help,,when i cut out an image in photoshop and bring it into illustrator i usually do it as a psd so that i can mantain not having a background, but when i use live trace or live paint on that image to make it look more like vector(instead of rough edges) all i get is a big white square..any suggestions.

After tracing, select the object and choose..
Object/ExpandThan, click on the white part with either the Direct or Group Selection Tool and delete.
