Getting Rid of Audio Interference
Hello all,
I’m a beginner to Final Cut Pro so when I was videotaping a conference there were parts where I hit the audio microphone…now im on the editing faze and during playback there is a loud bumping sound whenever I hit the microphone. How to get rid of that noise (frequency) and other background noise without effecting the volume of the speaker talking?

It’s not an easy thing to do. You can try the pop filter in FCP, but it’s just basically a low cut eq – nothing fancy. That thump is somewhere below 60 Hz, but there may be harmonics of the base frequency mixed in that also need to be filtered. A program that will certainly handle this is IzotopeRX.
