This has driven me crazy long enough: every time I open FCP7, I get an error message that one audio plug-in is no longer authorized for use. How do I find where FCP stores this plug-in so that I can avoid getting this message?

I also use Logic Pro, which is where I once tried-out this particular Waves plug, but I let the demo expire years ago, and it’s no longer showing in Logic’s AU Manager – why is FCP still seeing it and trying to open it?!?

    Thanks ….

    Can you just spotlight it?

When I Spotlight or do a Finder search, I get variations of Waves GTR plugs that I DO still use, but this one GTR Solo plug-in is not showing up in a search. And yet FCP always wants to search for it!

Maybe you should contact the plug in company and ask them where this file should be or shouldn’t be…?

Didn’t think of that – of course!
