  • getting original audio back

    Hi,

I am doing a multi camera edit in final cut pro. I have 1 audio channel that I am using as my main source of audio for the edit – the rest I foolishly deleted off the timeline. However, after doing my entire cut, I realized that I need some audio from another channel off of one of the other cameras. What is the best and simplest way for me to regain the original audio for one of the video clips?

    cheers

Click on the video clip for which you what to match-up the audio, and hit the “f” key.
(Make sure the Auto Select button is on for that video track.)

That’ll bring up all of the original source tracks in the Viewer, synced to the point of the cursor.

You can then edit in any of those tracks to your Timeline.
