Getting more out of glow
Glow is one effect in particular that interests me, its useful for making things have bloom, sort of a brighter then bright feel to them. the problem is i seem quiet limited as to just how much bloom i can have. More specifically if i ramp the radius of the glow to a larger number, all of a sudden it fades away on me. Ive tried combining the effect with matte chokers (which more often then not messes around with what I’m glowing…), even using multiple instances of the effect to try and contrast it, but the moment I ramp the value to far, glow stops playing ball.
now to make sure the explanation of my problem is clear, i have some images which may help you get where I’m coming from. to be honest I’m not 100% sure how to tag these in, so you may have to drag these into your address bar.
