    Hi everyone,

I have a film captured from Digibeta using Apple Pro Res 422 codec, and having made a few tweaks I now want to export to DVD. I use to Compressor to do this; however, when exported, burnt in DVD Studio Pro, and played on my TV, there is a distinct jerkiness to the movement of the shots. I’m aware that this is something to do with the fields (ie progressive, interlaced etc) but I’m not sure where the problem can be fixed – in FCP, Compressor, or DVD Studio Pro?

I tried setting it to Progressive in Compressor, and although this fixes some of the jerkiness there now appears to be a degradation in the quality of the shots. I’m sure I’ve done this before so that the finished film was much better quality, but I can’t for the life of me remember how.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    All the best

In your render settings OI think you should be doing lower field first. I have had this happen and usually somewhere in the path is and upper field first that I missed. this might fix some of the problems.

A cut is a cut & a dissolve is a disolve, and not just anybody with a system is a pro.
