Park the cursor on the first frame of the clip you want, and hit the “F” key, that will match-frame the clip on the timeline to the original clip (that has the audio.)

Then, just edit the audio track(s) back on.

Anyone else want to take a swing at this one?

I seem to have struck out.

I know this is old, however it came up first in a Google search so I will add on to it. I was wondering the same thing. F for match frame got me close. I then disconnected the connector on the video track and then dragged the little hand over the arrow pointer down onto the track. I know there must be an easier way but it wasn’t intuitive. Either way, it works for now.
