  • Getting a square animation into my sequence

Posted by Henrik Helms on December 9, 2009 at 7:20 am

    Hi!
I have received a 1920*1080 in animation codec in square pixel aspect.
It is going to be fitted into a 1024*576 sequence uncompressed 10 bit.
If I just put it into the sequence i think it gets a little bit blurry in the motions.
What is the best way to get it into my sequence??

    Kind regards
    Henrik

    Hi Henrick,
Try setting “Render Motion Effects: BEST”. This should improve the downscaling.
if you have the opportunity that they export the same animation from AE with the final size and in the final codec, the best.

1024×576 is not a video size. There is no tape format and no broadcaster that will accept it.

If you’re trying to make a widescreen SD in PAL, that size would be 720×576. Look up “aspect ratio” in your FCP manual, it will explain how the pixels become stretched to make an anamorphic widescreen image using the same number of pixels as 4×3.

I am well aware of the dimensions – well I ment anamorphic (which end up in the above dimensions) – but that does not change the aspect and dimensions of what I import…which is my problem…
To get rid of the blury motion on a square animation codec in 1920*1080

    Kind regards Henrik
