  • getting a blue screen when exporting to tape

Hi all, I’ve done this tons of times, but I’ve had some problems the last few times that I’ve tried to export a video to my cameras.
I get the PC plugged into the camera(s) using a firewire cable and start recording on the camera. It will record just fine for a few seconds, then drop out for a second or so and flash a bluescreen. It’s done this on the last 2-3 projects that I have worked on.
    I’m using Premiere Pro 1.0.

Any idea what is causing this?

Have you tried using a new/different firewire card or a different deck? Also, try switching cables…

I’ve used different cables and 2 different cameras. I guess it’s the card then, huh?
    🙁

Also, it doesn’t when I capture from the cam to the PC, only when I go from the PC to the cam. Would there be a solution to that?

Download an application called ScLive and try capturing via that. If that doesn’t work, then there is a hardware issue.
