  • Getting 1.4 frame-packed output from FCP thru Extreme 3D to 3D monitor

Hi, we’ve been figuring out our workflow on a 3D project that we’ve been working on. We are in the process of choosing a 3D card for preview, and possibly final output. Question: can you use a Decklink plugin in FCP to output frame-packed 1.4? Do you need a Dashwood Toolbox 3D plugin, Cineform, to pull the two streams together? As far as I know, the Dashwood plugin will only to Interleaved or superimposed, not full resolution frames.

Or, is the Extreme 3D card really just set up for playback of two pre-composed L & R files?

    Thanks,
    Kevin
