Get value for expression from Info panel.
Hi.
Depth Of Field effect (3d Channel)
show the depth of an object in the Info panel. For it click the object in the Composition panel or Layer panel using the Selection tool while the effect is selected.
Question: How use this info for expression? Get this info for point (null layer position).

I don’t know of a way to do that.

Perhaps you can make a hidden copy of the layer with 3D Channel Extract, then use sampleImage() on the resulting grayscale depth matte

Thanks for the hint. This could be a solution if I know the range of the maximum and minimum distances from objects to the camera.
