Get source text from file name
Hi you all,
has written in the subject of this post, I want to ask if there’s any expression in after effetcs that gets the current file name and puts it in the source text of a text layer, without the file extension name.

Do you mean the name of the project file? If so, then no, I can’t think of a way to do that.
If you mean the name of the source file for the current layer, this could easily be modified to leave out the file extension:

Dan you are a creative genius, your code is amazing. I will be using this technique to get the file name and check for certain words that will trigger automation. I’ve learned a lot javascript in AE from your posts thanks for your good work.
