  • Get Rid of Useless Multiclip Footage

I’m sure this is something fairly simple but I have a film and its completely finished. But I would like to get rid of the extra multiclip media that we don’t need anymore and not just have it show up as offline but rather just have the clip that stays, be independent. I hope that makes sense. thanks in advance.

Alright so I found what I was looking for. I don’t know how I hadn’t seen it before but… when you have a clip selected in the timeline then right click and go down to “collapse multiclip”. this will then get rid of the unused footage. it wont actually delete the media it will just not use it in the timeline. not sure who i am actually helping here but I thought I would give an update. thx

It is not getting rid of the extra footage. It helps but all the footage is still locked together. It helps with the playback when you do this but you cannot send this footage to Color because of the linking. This is also non-destructive since you can reverse it by choosing Unclasped it the same way.
