  Get Out of Hand Tool – Avid 2018.12.5

  Hello,

  Just started working in Avid 2018.12.5 and have noticed something odd. When I am in the Effect Editor and zoom in on my record window, I press CMD+ALT to bring up the hand tool. I drag my window to the area I want to work on. Now in Avid 8.5, I would let go of CMD+ALT, the hand tool would go away, and I would be back to my arrow.

  However, in Avid 2018.12.5 I am finding that the hand tool remains. I have tried the work arounds others have suggested (going into Smart Tools on the Command Palette and clicking on the Keyframe toggle button, going into the Command Palette and switching from “Button to Button” to “Active Palette”) but those have not been successful. The only solutions I have found are clicking around arbitrarily for an indetermined amount of time or quitting out of the project. Neither of which is an ideal fix.

  Has anyone else come across this hand tool issue in 2018.12.5 and come up with a way to get out of it easily?
