Genie Bottle Smoke
I am trying to create a dramatic effect of smoke spewing out of a genie bottle followed by a slow dispersment of the smoke. Any ideas?

Hi,
To generate that effect I’d suggest trying the BCC clouds filter or the BCC 2D Particles filter. Both are capable of the effect that you describe. The BCC Caustics filter can also generate smoke particles, but not the type that you are looking for.

You could also try using the BCC Fire plugin but then set the fire appearance to ‘Smoke Only.’ You could even change the smoke color to funky florescent greens like in the genie movies. A small touch of BCC wave on the smoke would also give you that deliberate ‘genie fume dance.’

BCC Particle System has a preset called ThinSmoke that might be what you are seeking.
