    Hey everyone,

We’re trying to get C4d to fire out spherical renders. The issue is that we’ve already done a bunch of rendering and work with the standard cinema v11 renderer, so Vray or Final Render is not an option.

Currently our team is firing out pano sequences and stitching them with stitcher, but we’re looking for a cleaner option, if there is one available.

Anyone know any plugs that can render out spherical cams? Or even light probes that we can convert to spherical? They have to wind up living in Papervision in the end, and spherical wound up being the best fail safe way instead of cylindrical. (cylindrical images were acting kinda wonky…spherical lined up perfect every time)

    big ears cheers

Here’s a trick I learned from Tim Clapham’s new Cinema/AE tutorial series (review to come):

Create a sphere (perfect) and give it a material with only reflection checked (100%). Place the sphere in the center of your scene and then bake the texture with the bake texture tag — instant spherical render. Only … it could be a problem if you have objects moving through the center of the scene.

Or, you might give this plugin a try: https://wfcam4d.multimeios.pt/

I don’t have it so I can’t comment on its functionality.
