Generate proxy utilize Matrox Compress HD chip?

I’ve not done it, but since CatDV uses the QT engine and the Matrox works with the QT engine, I’m sure you could just select it as a codec option when you set up your previews.

This is how folks do it with the elgato accelerators.

Also, for the record, you can also hand off a proxy generation job to Episode or any other heavy duty compression engine if you need “big boy pants”.

I just love the speed…I’m a huge advocate for the CompressHD…not used the Elgato though.
