  general weirdness and dsr 30

  Setup new system and going thru the shakedown process. Two strange things.
  1. during logging clips the composer window would freeze whenever I shuttled the tape. I’d have to click on the timeline then it would work normally.
  2. I’m using a sony dsr30 dvcam deck. Its hooked up to the internal FW port. I don’t have mojo yet as I’m waiting till NAB. The avid sees the deck as a generic device and I expected that cause its not on the list. I do have full shuttle control and I see the timecode in the window. I logged a few clips to test batch capture but when I tried to do it, It wouldn’t find the pre-roll point. It just kept searching forward.
  I’m suspecting that this particular deck may not work with the AVID??? Any Ideas?
