  • General term for streaming services?

    Hi,

I am looking for companies in North America who provide encoding & streaming over Internet.
For example, one that provide services to operate products such as Wirecast at events to push to Ustream, YouTube Live, etc.. Same crew may possibly manage a camera or two him/herself at smaller events.

Is there a general term for these types of services that may help my searching?

I have tried keywords such as “live streaming service”, but it takes me to sites such as Ustream who handle the redistribution side rather than pushing from origin.

    Thank you.

Some of those CDNs will also provide you with live production crews.
    It’s basically live production.
It all comes down to keywords and search engines and whether the production company promotes that they offer such services. I don’t think a single search term will do it.

    Hi Craig,

    Thank you for returning.
I looked some more and found that words such as “webcasting” or “web cast services” got me nearer to what I was looking for.
