  • General Quicktime Export Setting seems to have changed!

Hi, I’ve been using FCP 7 for sometime. I’m not the most technical person, so wanted to check about this.
I must have changed something recently as everytime I do an File/Export Quicktime the file is really small.
Before, I’d export a 3min video or something and it’d be 2gig roughly. Uncompressed. Now it’s like 40mb. I have no idea what I’ve changed for it to be like this.

I normally shoot on either BlackMagic or Canon C300. Do you know how I change this back so it exports a .mov uncompressed. Also, if there’s anything I should look out for in my Video Settings that might be incorrect.

    Thanks a lot,
    Dave

Don’t export QUICKTIME CONVERSION…export QUICKTIME MOVIE, and check SELF CONTAINED. This will export a lossless file, matching the settings of your sequence.

If you are exporting CONVERSION…check the settings to see what they are set to. Those are what changed. But really, for full quality exports, use Export>Quicktime Movie…do not recompress, and self contained.
