general error while rendering
hello
g5 2.7 dual 4gb ram osx 10.4.8 fcp 5.1.2.
I have been recieving general errors when trying to render large files. If I cut them into small pieces I am usually able to render them. there is plenty of hard drive space and I already throw out the render files using the render manager. I have PAL foootage and NTSC footage on a timeline with the sequence setting NTSC

This may be the cause. FCP (or any NLE) does not really do standards conversion.
