    hey there.

i’m working with footage which is a .jpeg sequence converted by quicktime pro into a 24fps .mov file.

when loaded into FCP 6.0 on my macpro 2×2.8Ghz 10GB RAM machine, in an NTSC timeline, the footage won’t render without giving a “GENERAL ERROR” message.

i tried a 23.98 and a 24 fps sequence, and got the error message both times.

    any ideas?

    thanks.

    Hi
Conform your QT movie’s frame rate using Cinema Tools to the timeline frame-rate.
The only time I’ve had rendering General Error problems is with dodgy frame-rate source clips.
