  General Error part way through export

  OSX 10.4.11
  Quicktime 7.4.5
  Final Cut Express HD 3.5.1

  I’m having trouble exporting from FCE when I select export quicktime conversion. When it gets to somewhere around 20-40%, it dies throwing a “general error” error message. Just those two words and the OK button.

  Compression is none; size I set manually to 1440×1080 (the resolution of the captured video footage).

  I have an hour long timeline with two video files and some titles. Nothing fancy.

  I’ve deleted the rendered video files, and tried rendering again.

  I’ve restarted FCE. I’ve restarted the computer.

  I did see on another forum that QT 7.3 was not supported on versions of FCE prior to 3.5.1. Is there a problem with running QT 7.4.5?
