  • General Error at exporting

I’m trying to export a sequence that i’m working on. I’m exporting with quicktime conversion as a quicktime.mov 4:3 DV pal. But every time i export it i get an general error at 30 – 40%.

I’ve tried rebooting, restarting the program, deleting the preferences, saving the file by an other name, making a new sequence, placing a new sequence in a different project where i can export and placing the footage in there, replacing the captured file.

I’m really stuck and don’t know what to do! The project i’m working on has a tight deadline. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

    Machine and specs:

    Mac OS x 10.5.7
    Final cut pro 6.0.5

Same problem here tonight- screening in the morning.
I’ve tried exporting a Quicktime movie of just the areas where there is new media but so far everything exports fine… just somewhere along the way something’s locking up in a General Error.

currently on a MacPro, using FCP 7.0.2, ProResLT from eSATA G-Raid (4 TB of incredible footage) and a now a Matrox MX02LE just to make it more complicated… love calibrating my projector though.
