Hi this is Abhishek.Well i’ve been editing lost of projects on FCP and exporting them too in quicktime. But this time when i am exporting a two hour lon project in to quicktime(without compressor)Then soon after 6 or 7% of exporting it shows a general error which i have’ne ever found before. So is there something to with the sequence settings? When i am exporting it in fragments by marking on the tmeline then it goes fine.I have an imac G5 with a 2.1 GHZ processor ,250 GB of Internal drive and 1.5 GB ram.

    Regards

    Abhishek

see if the hard drive you’re exporting to is formatted for PC or Mac. PC formatting has a file size limitation that sometimes triggers that general error. If that’s the case, reformat the drive using apple disk utility. Formatted for Macs, the hard drive will take as much data as it can, until it reaches it’s storage limit. Hope this was it. Good luck

    Hi
Look at your timeline about 7 mins in – have you got a corrupt still image there?
Or even more likely some different-type footage that isn’t exactly the same frame rate as your sequence.
