General Error 34 – trash preferences didn’t work
I keep getting a general error 34 – out of memory. I saw other posts about this and tried deleting the preferences and cache. I also tried reconnecting the media and it still didn’t work. if I try to play the quicktime through the finder menu it says resource map incorrect. for some other files it says that it is not a file that quicktime understands.
can anyone think of any other solutions?
I’m using FCP HD G4 dual 1.25, and using several external drives looped together.

Kind of sounds like the Catalog b-tree is corupted. Try doing a search on “b-tree” to see if these posts are similar to your issues & let us know.
