I just did a search on the forums and couldn’t find my answer. Over the weekend I had serious problem with my MacBook Pro … forcing me to do a complete erase & install. Thank god for back ups. My question is this, is it OK to use a maintenance utility such as Tech Tools Pro …even with FCP loaded on the machine ? I don’t use this machine for any serious editing. How do you guru’s keep your computers healthy and happy ? Thanks. MacBook Pro / Snow Leopard / 2.8 ghz Intel / 4 GB Ram

We use Disk Warrior. It’s saved my butt many times when things got weird. Now I run it about once-a-month and it keeps our systems healthy.
