    hey guys,

today I upgraded from my GeForce 9400 GT (1GB) to a GeForce GTS 250 (512MB) I first unlocked the cuda features for after effects using the command prompt, GPUSniffer and adding the card to the list. then I proceeded to unlock for adobe premiere pro, only this time the gpu acceleration option doesn’t show up in the render engine settings in premiere pro. why wouldn’t this work? the first time I unlocked the GeForce 9400 gt without a problem. so what could be the issue?

Your card doesn’t have enough memory.

so how much memory would I need? I thought memory was only significant when using large monitors.

The accelerated Mercury Playback Engine requires at least 896 MB from the GPU.

I don’t recommend a video card that is not certified by Adobe. That said, please don’t try and enable a non-supported card that has less than the required VRAM. You’ll experience more headaches than they’re worth. If you would like a video card supported for the Mercury Playback Engine, make a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish
