For some reason the Gaussian Filter which I use quite a bit is giving me either a black image when applied to a clip or a flickering image of the clip it is applied to and a random clip on my timeline. Hope I am articulating this right. I am editing AVCHD from an hmc-150. System specs:

    Windows Version:7 64-bit
    RAM:24GB
    Processor:Intel Core i7-2600k CPU 3.40GHz
    Video Card: AMD Radeon 6670
Sound Card: AMD High Definition Audio
Video Capture: OHCI compiant IEEE 1394 CARD
CD Burner: TSST Corp CDDVDW SH S223C
DVD Burner: TSST Corp CDDVDW SH S223C
    Camera:AG HMC 150

Could this be a windows issue. v12 hasn’t been the most stable software since v10.
Has anyone else seen this or are any of you still having issues with instability.

    thanks

Its not a windows issue, the number one instability issue now
with Vegas 12 comes from the GPU series video cards installed.
Disable your GPU and see if the gaussian filter shows up as it
    should?

    HI STEVE,
THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE. I HAVE PRETTY MUCH USED VEGAS 12 WITHOUT THE GPU SELECTED SINCE MY INSTABILITY ISSUES….WHICH HAS HELPED. NOT IN FRONT OF THE MACHINE RIGHT NOW BUT WILL CHECK IT AGAIN TOMORROW WHEN I GET IN. I HAVE AN AMD CARD WHICH I SWITCHED OUT TO AN NVIDEA CARD AND THEN RECENTLY SWITCHED IT BACK AGAIN.
I’M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ANYMORE.

    thanks
