Gary A. what was the show?
Posted by Coach on November 27, 2006 at 5:08 pmGary,
I was channel surfing when I saw the very end of a TV show on NBC 5 Chicago (I think it was Thursday) and noticed you had done the graffics work. What was the name of the show? I missed it and was trying to find out about it. I think it was about teachers and or teaching but I may be wrong. Can you help me out.

it’s called “Nobody Told Me” and originally ran on September 24th on WMAQ (NBC 5)
It is the story of a teacher from brooklyn that comes to an inner city school in chicago that only has a 5% graduation rate, but after 5 years the school now averages more than a 70% graduation rate- and nearly 80% of those actually go on to college.it is still available on Comcast’s On Demand in the Chicago Market under | Network TV shows / local interest | It was a 3 year project penned and directed by Carol Marin and Don Moseley for the Depaul Documentary project. I really was kinda the kitchen sink on this one, I shot some, did some of the music, all the graphics, and the finish.
While the entire project was shot on Beta and DV- the post was all done in HD for a PBS re-broadcast later this year. It is the longest piece that I have ever done in both the length of project (over 3 years) and length of show (TRT 45:21)
thanks for asking.
