Hi im looking for some help with a technique in AE, I am looking to motion track some changing data such as heart rate and speed onto an athlete that I am making a promotional video for. I have a bit of experience in AE such as basic motion tracking a point however I feel this may be a bit harder.

This video illustrates quite nicely what I am trying to achieve:

I am aware that part of the video is using 3d match moving techniques, I’m not so interested in that, I am interested in the bits showing the heartbeat etc, how would you achieve this? Make a precomp with expression driven text and then just pick whip it to a tracked null object? What sort of expression would you use, a wiggle with a fixed parameter?

I have tried looking into tutorials online nut I can only find ironman HUD’s! Would would you search for to find tutorials that could help with this?

    Cheers
    Paddy
