    I feel stupid asking but after looking for so long and refering to the help guide i have to ask…Where is the ‘garbage matte’ in After Effects?! I am loosin my mind tryin to find it! I need to mask out sides of my footage that the green screen didnt cover…

    Sorry for the stupid q..

    Apply a mask, then pre-compose. Do your key on the pre-composed setup. I suggest you also watch Aharon’s tutorial for creating super tight junk mattes here at the COW.

    There is no one-button garbage matte effect/plugin/animation assistant/animation preset in AE. You have to do this manually. But it’s easy. In AE, you use mask tools to create your garbage matte(s).
