Has anyone found a working garbage-mask-plug-in (which can be animated) for FCPX 10.0.9.
Tried “Alex4D Mask+ 8” and “RT 8 point Matte”, but I can not get it to work well.

I could go “Motion” but I just need to make offline edits…

    Thanks

    Hi Morten,

This is a free animatable garbage matte for FCPX. It comes in 3 versions (4-point, 8-point, 16-point). I haven’t used it yet but watching the video you may see if this is what you are looking for:

The download link is in the text under the video

    Works!

It’s bit of a workaround, but nice work!

    Thanks!

Coremelt Slice-X. Not free, but hands down one of the best you can get in *any* NLE. Keyframable and, with the Mocha tracking option, you can do pretty effective rotoscoping, rig removal, color mask tracking etc.

    Looks awesome!!

But since I’m (for now) only interested in garbage masks, will I be better of with Motion?

Does Motion integrate well with FCPX, I mean “live”; create mask in Motion use in FCPX?

I agree on Slice-X/Mocha, it’s truly amazing. At this time there is no direct link between Motion and FCPX except for creating effect, title and generator templates. But this should come very, very soon now.

I use Slice-X w Mocha and it works great with so many mask needs. Great tracker.
