Gaming PC + Blackmagic Intensity Pro or Shuttle?
Hey there,
I’m buying parts for my new gaming PC. I recently got picked up by Machinima and intend on producing Xbox 360 gameplay (and PC) with either the Blackmagic Intensity Pro or Shuttle with the new rig. Which one is compatible with the Intel Core i7-2600k? Please keep in mind that I do at least 3 hours of video editing and 7 hours of rendering per day, so that’s why I’m going for the Core i7 over Core i5.
Here’s the list:
Motherboard: Asus P8H67 M-Pro LGA 1155 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600k
Graphics Card: 1 Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti (is this good enough for now?)
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 (2×4)
Capture Card: Blackmagic Intensity Pro/Shuttle (which is better and/or compatible with my CPU?)
Hard Drive: 1 Western Digital 1TB
Power Supply: Corsair 750W
Cooling System: Corsair H70
Optical Drive: Samsung DVD (do I need Blu-Ray?)
Computer Case: Cooler Master Gladiator 600 Mid Tower ATXDid I miss any components? Is everything on my list compatible with the mobo and processor?
I’ve asked similar questions multiple times on Yahoo Answers but nobody ever gives the full answer… So here’s a list of my questions:
Is my Asus mobo and Intel Core i7-2600k processor compatible with Blackmagic Intensity Pro, Shuttle, or neither?
Is the GeForce GTX 560 Ti good enough for now as far as graphics for games like Crysis 2? (I don’t have unlimited budget, but I want a powerful GPU)
Do I need a Blu-Ray drive for any reason? I don’t own any Blu-Ray movies…
Did I miss any components besides mouse, keyboard, etc.?
Is everything on the list compatible with all of the other components? Thanks!
