Is there any reason a G5 graphics workstation would not be able to access an Avid Unity server? If an Avid editor exports some QuickTimes on Unity, I’d think a G5 could grab the QuickTimes easily enough.

I know Unity ISIS’s OS X client support hasn’t arrived yet, but I’d think it should be in the next few months.

Macs will work on a unity server, however, you need to have the Avid Unity software installed… which means essentially buying an Avid seat just to get access. Check out the avid website for more details.
