  G5 crashes when a second apple display is added

  hello,
  i have a dual 2ghz g5, latest updates 10.4. i work mainly with final cut 5.04
  i just wanted to add a second monitor apple display 17 inch but the system (jsut os x) keeps on freezing and crashes.
  my main monitor is a cinema hd (oh i am talking about the older monitor not the new ones)
