I have a Dual 2 Ghz G5 with two monitor sockets on the back. One is an Apple ADC socket and the other is a DVI socket. Question: in Final Cut Pro if I want a dual monitor set up can I have one monitor in each of these two different types of sockets? I already have an Apple ADC 17″ LCD monitor plugged into the ADC socket. If I plug a DVI monitor into the other one, will this allow for a duel monitor set up in Final Cut Pro?

The answer is theoretically yes. I have the same configurations as you
    dual 2.5 w Radeon 9800 XT
Apple 17″ sudio display (ADC) in one
Dell 20″ 2005FW running from the DVI port.
just plug them in and arrange them through system preferences>displays.
    hope this helps.
oh watch out for colour changes through 2 different types of monitors as well

Sure, that’s why there are two outputs.

However, if you are running Motion, it is best to drive the second display via a PCI card (e.g., Radeon 9200) so the full VRAM in the AGP card can be devoted to Motion, rather than being split in half.
