G4 MMD as RAID and Cluster
I have a G4 MMD (with 4 HD inside) and a G5
Do you think is possible to set up those Hd as RAID and use that G4 as a Xraid and a Xserve G4 cluster node using gigabite or wirewire conectors for my G5???? so I can usa that RAID for capturing with AJA IO (connected to G5) and the cluster for render works with Qmaster or so. -

I’ve networked my Graphic G5 and Editor G5 successfully. You will have to setup the FW ports in the network config in System Prefs (Manuel DHCP) and will have to get a FW card for the G5 since you can’t use any other internal FW ports when using the IO.
