G4 & HD w/decklinkSP?
I have a G4 dual 1.42 w/2gb ram. This qualifies to handle uncompressed HD according to FCP specs on Apple’s website. If I get a SATA raid with uncompressed HD material already loaded can I downconvert my edit to BetaSP using the decklinkSP card? Also, can I monitor the HD edit through the SP card?

No. If you are working with HD, you need an HD card….like the Decklink HD (SDI only).
Even when monitoring.
