I have a G Technology G-RAID Gen 4 1TB drive in a RAID 0. I’m trying to remove all of the files from that drive but I keep getting an error: ‘The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “filename omitted” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)’

The drive powers up, I can see all the files, browse through all of the folders but when I try to transfer anything, it hangs up almost instantly during the transfer and then fails with the above message. I’ve tried connecting it using different ports, firewire or USB, but it doesn’t make a difference. I tried starting the transfer with different files and folders (thinking maybe a file is corrupt), but no still no difference.

    I need some help.

I’m on a Mac running OS X 10.11.4 (El Capitan).

    Hi Eric,

I don’t know if you have taken care of this, but you can email me at gene@g-technology.com and we can see what we can do.
