Hi I am new to this forum, I have a BlackMagic Intensity Pro, and want to capture to 1080i format. I have an AMD 1090t cpu, Gigabyte motherboard with USB3, Esata II and 8 gig of ram, SSD main drive and 4 other non-raid internal drives.
I purchase a G-Raid, 2 TB drive and hooked it up via esata II, and got a write speed of 124.6 mb/s. This is not fast enough for 1080i on the BM card. What is perplexing is that a NON raid 1.5 TB internal Seagate gets 112.4 mb/s write speed. To me this is insane!!!
Should I expect more from the G-Raid? I am doing something wrong (I followed their method for setup for windows). If I have to buy one of “THEIR” esata cards, for the price I may as well get 2 – 2tb internal drives and get a fast MB/s speed with less cost.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks again!!
