G-RAID GEN 4 parts
With no help from G-Tech, I decided to look for help from the true experts of the Cow Forums. My Gen 4 1TB GRAID’s temp sensor/switch has ceased functioning and my fan won’t turn on. Overheating of a RAID is not good. I need to find out if any knows where to get one of these since I can’t get one from G-TECH. It’s the small little two prong sensor thing that attaches to the side of the top hard drive. It seems a shame to get rid of this drive just because of a small component like this. This thing is so small I don’t think it will have a component number on it. I have to find my magnifying glass to get a closer look though. The bifocals just aren’t cutting it. 🙂

I found out what I’m looking for is an NTC Thermistor. Now I just need to find out what ohm to get seeing there are a lot of choices.

Thanks Bob, I’llcheckthem out. I did discoverthat by jumpering the connection the fan will run. It just will never shut off.
