FYI True Type Fonts Slowing us down
Hi Guys…
We noticed a problem under AE 2014 and AE 2015 for a clients that were utilizing one particular font.
This font was available in both True Type and Open Type formats.
One person had both versions installed, one had only True Type. Both were experiencing the issue basically beach balling selecting things in the timeline and manipulating point size of the font.
We removed both instances of the font.
Installed True Type version only, still slow.
Removed and installed Open Type version only.Ta Da!
Project opened much faster and font and timeline manipulations returned to normal behavior.
We are Mac OSX El Capitan Mac Pro 8 core and Trashcan.
