FX1 users Please help
I got the brand new FX1 out of the box. shot some hdv test footage,
hooked it up to the Matrox RTX100 firewire 1394 cable, created a new HDV project in PPro 2 (not a matrox project)
When I go to capture, the settings have DV/HDV device control, the options have NTSC, Sony cam, but there is no HDR-FX1 to select. (so I use “standard”)Check status shows it “online”, The play, rewind, pause etc all work (they control the cam but the capture screen in PPro 2 is black and the “record” button is greyed out and non selectable
So I shot some regular DV footage and tried to capture with the same type errors. (Both matrox project and premiere type project)
Is the FX1 in the “options” box for anyone else? I didn’t see any HDV cams at all
Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?

Either check with Matrox, or try with OHCI without the Matrox. Does that work?

I don’t believe that the old style cards support HDV. For that you need the new Matrox card.
