    Hi all,

FW800 PCIExpress cards – for a client’s suite, they need one as they’re running FW800 drives and ingest from HDV and DV frequently. Any advantage on one brand over another? In the UK I can only really find Lacie, Sunex (whom I’ve never heard of) and Belkin (whom I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole) so any pointers would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jason

i’ve used an external 500 GB LaCie for almost two years now with no problems at all. additionally, i just bought a 500 GB Seagate SATA which (so far) is working great. on the other hand, i’ve heard of several people on this forum who have had problems with LaCie and do not recommend them (i am not one of them, though).
