    Hi There –

I’m using some line art from a vector graphic in Illustrator. It is sharp, as I zoom in on the graphic in Illustrator.

I import the .ai file into premiere pro CS3, and the graphic is now pixellated and fuzzy, and I also see some ghosting when I burn to disk. The stroke weight in Illustrator is set to 1 pt. currently.

When I zoom in on the graphic in Premiere, it gets really fuzzy @ 200% and higher.

Is there anything I can do to make this graphic sharp when I burn to DVD?

    Thank you very much!

    Dane

Illustrator is a vector program … Premiere is not. So, artwork from Illustrator will only remain sharp at 100% scale (as is the case with everything else in Premiere). If you need it to be bigger in your Premiere project and, thus, on your DVD, increase the size of the object in Illustrator to the size you need and save it that way.

FYI, the same applies when you go from Illustrator to Photoshop … Illustrator is a vector program … Photoshop is not. So, artwork from Illustrator will only remain sharp in Photoshop at 100% scale.
