    Hi,

We were obliged to update to Final Cut X and what catched us out was that FCPX sequences cannot be played in CatDV anymore (while they could in FCP7).

To us, that means that one of the best CatDV features, which was about not wasting time in exporting videos for approval, cannot be used any longer.

Does anybody has an idea if this is to change in the future?? (Or even if there is an actual solution we’ve missed)

    Thank you for debate,

    Cheers

    C.

please can you restart catdv and then try to import a sequence ,if you could summarize the steps you take with screenshots of the steps any error messages and send this to us along with the catdv logs we will take a look and see if we can help you get this working

    Hi Dougal,

What I have tried is to export FCPX XML and import FCPX XML into Cat DV, but it says it’s got too many tracks.

On the other hand,FCPX is not working with sequences but with the so-called ‘projects’, which are kind of database-based (or something similar :)), so, how is that possible that I import a ‘sequence’ into CatDV? I have no idea sorry :/

    Thank you for help,
    C.
