    Hello,

I’m new to the forum but not necessary new to the application so if I use an incorrect term for something please bear with me. I have several FX books for Final Cut Express but none of them cover my question. I am looking for a way to create a fuse effect ala TV’s Mission Impossible show. It would be a scrolling fuse exactly like the one used in the M.I. show. Is FCP’s FX set robust enough to do that or am I better off trying to create that in After Effects (a program I also own). Any help at all with this would be hugely appreciated. I am putting together a video for a 50th anniversary of a local church and it’s due on the 27th of August. Obviously I didn’t leave myself much time but the project is almost complete except for this one thing.

Thank You Thank You Thank You in advance any and all who respond.

    Sincerely,
    Jebster

Instead of a “filter” for this, you need running footage or an animation clip.

I just did a Google search for “Stock footage burning fuse” and this is the first thing that popped up:

There are many more out there.

You’d just key it over your video.
